The Duneland School of Emergency Response is owned and operated by the Duneland School of Emergency Response, Inc. A Not-For-Profit Indiana Corporation.

We are a group of emergency responders from the Midwest who came together over seventeen years ago to provide a variety of quality training programs for emergency responders, in a most cost effective way, utilizing knowledgeable, seasoned instructors who are experts in their field. 

Our school committee members and board of directors represent many aspects of emergency response, including career, combination, volunteer and industrial fire and EMS departments, and HAZMAT units. Most members are current or past Chiefs and IFSAC/Indiana NFPA Instructor II/III, and volunteer their time on the committee, spending countless hours working behind the scenes to make this school "happen". 

Through the dedication of this group with the support of many local emergency response agencies, corporate sponsors, local tourism board and most of all our "customers" who return year after year,  together we have grown this school in to one of the best in the Midwest, if not the nation. 

We look forward to your participation to make the YOUR 2007 school another success.

We wish to send a very special thank you to the hard working members of the Chesterton Fire Department, and Chief Skip Highwood. Without their support from the beginning, this school probably would not exist today.

The registration and mailing services required to present a school of this magnitude is no small matter. In 2006 we will be handling the registration duties directly with the help of Cheryl Osborne and other committee members. 

Past administrative services have been provided by IVY Tech, FIRE Inc., and the Indiana Fire Instructors Association. In 1997 our group formed a not-for-profit corporation which allowed us to take direct control over the financial well-being to assure the continued growth of the school and educational opportunities. This has also allowed us to be directly responsible for  the instructor and curriculum selection.

 For the first five years of our corporate existence we contracted our registration and mailing services with Emergency Books & Training, Inc. Beginning with the 2003 school through 2005 school, we contracted the services of tamarack hill, llc for the registration and mailing services. We thank all of these fine people and organizations for helping this school grow.
